Memoir of Governor Blacksnake, 1874 May 8.

Manuscript narrative of the recollections of Governor Blacksnake, apparently written by Williams many years after he interviewed the sachem. Williams' note states "this manuscript was taken some of from book and some of it from another manuscript which had been written for 25 years by governor Blacksnake ... ." Most of the narrative concerns Capt. John Hudson, with some biographical information on Mary Jemison.
